aCRONIM: Clinical Reasoning Of Nurses In Medication

Nurses are a crucial link in the medication process. However, there are still many discrepancies in expectations of what nurses should contribute to this medication process. To tailor our education to the expectations of this population, we interviewed nurses employed at the Erasmus Medical Center regarding their roles and responsibilities in the medication process and how they perform in an interprofessional setting.
The design and content of interprofessional education on medication management

Interprofessional education has been delivered quite some time, but especially the last few decades has its implementation skyrocketed. However, the design and content of interprofessional education is incredibly heterogeneous. Feasibility pilot study on interprofessional pharmacotherapy education

Practice makes perfect. Therefore we conducted pilot studies at the consortium partners’ centers to gather feedback from students regarding the study materials developed in PReP-TEAM. We also asked out what students expect to take home from interprofessional education and how they think the perfect interprofessional workgroup should be designed. Based on their input, we continously strive to improve our education.
Barriers and facilitators to the implementation of interprofessional education

Even though interprofessional education is gaining more and more traction across the globes, the implementation of such education doesn’t come without hurdles. We interviewed stakeholders at the consortium partners’ centers what the barriers and facilitators are integrating PReP-TEAM into the curriculums. Based on these findings, we sought to provide educators with strategies on how to implement interprofessional education at their centers.
